The Makoro 2500L Septic Tank provides an efficient and dependable wastewater treatment solution for residential properties, rural homesteads, small communities, lodges, and off-grid sanitation systems. With a storage capacity of 2500 litres, the tank is designed to retain wastewater long enough for solids to settle and form sludge, providing effective primary treatment before effluent flows to the next stage of the sanitation system.

Designed for households of approximately 3–6 people, the tank measures 1650 mm in overall height, with an effective height of 1400 mm and a diameter of 1650 mm. A 420 mm threaded access opening, fitted with a durable polypropylene lid, provides convenient access for inspection and maintenance. The tank is supplied with 110 mm PVC fittings and is fully compatible with Makoro septic extensions, allowing easy adjustment of access height where required.

Manufactured from high-quality polyethylene using 100% virgin material, the Makoro 2500L Septic Tank features excellent impact resistance, UV protection, consistent wall thickness, and an antibacterial inner surface specifically designed for sewage applications. With wall thicknesses ranging from 8–13 mm and a total tank weight of 60 kg, the tank delivers outstanding durability while remaining practical to transport and install.

Finished in black to minimise light penetration and support optimal septic system performance, the tank is engineered to withstand harsh Southern African conditions while maintaining long-term structural integrity and watertight operation. Easy handling, simple installation, and robust construction make it a reliable solution for both new sanitation installations and system upgrades. The tank should always be used in conjunction with an appropriate effluent treatment or soakaway system and inspected periodically to ensure effective wastewater treatment and environmental protection.
